Nurse Residency Program for New Nurses

Nurses new to practice are a valuable addition to our team at the bedside. When you choose to join the HFSC nursing staff in your first year of nursing, our nurse residency program gives you the support and clinical training to successfully transition from the classroom to the bedside. The yearlong evidence-based curriculum focuses on monthly learning topics to boost your confidence and develop clinical autonomy. You’ll get hands-on clinical training in our unique setting, across all specialty areas with support from experienced nurses and peers.

Education

We’ll provide you the education to build a solid foundation for your career through lectures and hands-on learning. During your residency, you will develop skills in topics such as wound care, tracheotomy, unit rounding, labs and more.

Cardiac and Medical Nurse Residency

New nurses with an interest in specialized cardiac care and medical rehabilitation are invited to apply for this specialized nurse residency program. The cardiac medical and rehabilitation residency program promotes development of lifelong skills in the nursing profession using evidence-based practice. The one-year program provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment to grow your career as a highly skilled nurse.
